Photera is a web based game focused on providing a simple low-fi gaming experience for a photo guessing game. Its focus is on bringing awareness of events that have shaped the world.

Improved Photera.app bounce rate and time spent on page
Dark Mode
Building on photo dark rooms, we developed a custom palette for the game bringing users another layer of photo history. Keeping in mind 30% of the users are over the age 50, all the combinations comply with WCAG to ensure accessibility with contrast ratios for both AA and AAA.
Navigation
There are two ways to set the answer for the year the photo was taken.
The slider is good for moving large amount of years quickly.
The (+) & (-) buttons are easier to zero down on a precise year.
Results
The correct year the photo was taken will appear on the timeline as a green circle with the correct year. This is an easy visual indicator to see how close you were to the correct answer.
