CRU 'C' ME

The intersection between the Ponce de León and Roberto H. Todd avenues is the center of the new arts district in Santurce, Puerto Rico.  Crue 'C' Me project revitalizes the infrastructure from an urban perspective, promoting a pedestrian and eco conscious city.  In this centric spot, a sculptural bus stop identifies the crossing as center of the arts with its 'M' shape alluding the reference of the Museum of Contemporary Art.  The bus stop creates a link between the public space of the city and the museum garden, linking the community and the art institution.  The structure is composed of crowdfunded horizontal blocks that are acquired/purchased by the community members, providing a sense of belonging and ownership to the space.
